HEY! Spokane is Reading the fantastic novel "Swamplandia!" by Karen Russell. The young novelist's debut masterpiece was caught in a 3 way tie for the Pulitzer Prize a couple years ago, and it is a real gem. I highly recommend checking it out, especially if you enjoy gritty tales of the south, and southern gothic genre inspired by the writing of Flannery O'Connor and Joy Williams.
